The Rookie Challenge is an activity designed to raise awareness of skilled trades.
In the form of practical challenges, it aims to interest students, particularly those in the lower secondary cycle, in the vocational training programs offered in their region.
In a friendly context, students from each secondary school are divided into several small teams and must compete against representatives from another school, in events related to vocational training programs. Completing several challenges gives students the opportunity to demystify skilled trades and familiarize themselves with the training offered in their region.
They also have the chance to learn more about the tasks involved in the various trades, possible workplaces and future prospects.Students will have positive memories of their experience for a long time to come, because choosing a trade is not only a matter of passion, but also, of knowing about opportunities!
